Author Talk

 Jeanette Walls author of Glass Castles

Spoke to an audience which includes a group of high school sophomores who read her book for their English class.The book is a memoir about her childhood experiences that were not always pleasant. Comments about forgiveness and guilt were some of the audience questions. She felt it was more about acceptance. She wouldn’t be the person she is now. A smooth life is boring. Texture is what makes you interesting. Her parents gave her resilience


and a love of learning. . A movie was made from the book. After hearing her talk about it, I think I want to see it.
